Shawn James Peavie was born December 30, 1972 and departed this life Thursday, October 21, 2021 reaching the age of 48 years.

He is survived by his mom, Sue Massengale   Peavie and his dad, Gene Peavie.  His only sibling a brother, Scottie passed away February 6, 2021.  He leaves a host of  family and friends who mourn his passing.

He gave his heart to Jesus in July of 1985 under the ministry of Rev. Bob Dunlap and was baptized and became a member of Davis Chapel United Methodist Church.

Shawn worked in factories and in later years was a truck driver with his last job working for Somerset Foods.  He had been totally disabled for 12 years.  He loved to fish and hunt, but trout fishing was his favorite.

Our loss is Heaven's gain.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 24, 2021 between 12 pm – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
