Shawn Harris was born May 5, 1971, and departed this life Sunday, August 13, 2023, reaching the age of 52 years. He was the son of William Frasier "Jr." Harris and Mary "Kathleen" (Burke) Harris.

Along with his father, Junior Harris, he is survived by: three daughters, Shalyn Harris, Brittany Harris, and Layla May; and four grandkids, Bryson Polston, Madilynn Polston, Kenton Leo and Braelynn Leo. He is also survived by:  two brothers, Ronnie Sexton and Scotty Sexton; five sisters, Belinda Williams, Marilyn Chaplin, Donna Lowe, Lisa Lewis, and Renita Fulton; Mother-in-law, Lucy Lavonne (Epling) Smith; numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

In addition to his mother, Kathleen Harris, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Nancy Harris; one son, Jamion Sean Harris; and one brother, Kenneth Richard Sexton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 17, 2023, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, August 18, 2023, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
