Sandy Shelton was born December 30, 1957, and departed this life Tuesday, December 30, 2025, reaching the age of 68 years. She was the daughter of the late Odie and Sarah (Bunch) Coomer.

She is survived by: three sons, Garrin Graul (Sierra Hurt), Darrin Coomer, and Ben Shelton; two daughters, Andrea Tucker (Brandon) and Sarah Shelton; 13 grandchildren, Phoenix, Gage, Emily, Dylan, Brittany, Autumn, Hannah, Draven, Caleb, Brynlee, Austin, Bryson, and Lyllian; and one great grandchild, Ariah. She is also survived one brother, Bobby Coomer; and one sister, Barbara Morgan; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Tommy Shelton; three brothers, Jackie, Jerry, and Jimmy Coomer; and one great grandchild.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 3, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 4, 2026, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parmley's Grove Cemetery.
