Sandra Sweet Carrender was born July 5, 1967 and departed this life Monday, November 7, 2016 reaching the age of 49 years. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Fugate) Sweet and the late Arlin Sweet.

She married Troy Carrender and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: one daughter, Kristin Upchurch (Charles Day); one son, Logan Carrender; and two grandchildren, Jazlyn Grace Upchurch and Aiden Day. She is also survived by: her mother, Elizabeth Sweet; three brothers, Rayburn, Danny, and Paul Sweet; and six sisters, Lora Elam, Mary Barrier, Kathy Parrigan, Judy Denney, Lillie Massengale, and Janie Sweet; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her father, Arlin Sweet, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Troy Carrender; four brothers, Johnny, Eddie, Grady, and Jimmy Sweet; and one sister, Martha Catron.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: The Hope Center in Monticello or St. Jude Children's Hospital

The family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2016 after 9:30 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2016 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
