Samuel "Ronnie" Chaplin was born July 30, 1956 and departed this life January 14, 2021 reaching the age of 64 years. He was the son of Evelyn (Chaplin) McGinnis.

In addition to his mother, Evelyn McGinnis, he is survived by: his wife, Janice (Delk) Chaplin; one daughter, Kristy (DeWayne) Hardwick; one brother, Tim McGinnis; and three step grandchildren, Darian Hardwick Tray, and Bailey Hardwick; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Denney; and his grandparents, Elizabeth and Jess Chaplin.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2021 between 11 pm – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Clinton County.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
