Obituary
Sam McKinley Massengale was born May 26, 1927 and departed this life Friday, February 07, 2014 reaching the age of 86.
He is survived by: his wife, Christine Massengale; three children, Teresa Massengale, Joyce Nuckles, and Sam McKinley Massengale, Jr.; one grandchild, Jessica Nuckles; and two great grandchildren, Mason and Averie Nuckles. He is also survived by: two brothers, Lonnie and J. R. Massengale; and one half sister, Georgie Hicks; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
Sam was orphaned at a very early age and has several siblings who also preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 10:30 am – 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, February 10, 2014 at 2 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Davis Chapel Cemetery.
