Ruth Morris was born March 7, 1944 and departed this life Friday, April 16, 2010 reaching the age of 66 years. She was the daughter of the late Porter Herman and Elsie (Cole) Brake.

She is survived by: her fiancé, Michael Griffith; 1 daughter, Michelle "Misty" Gregory; 3 sons, Calvin (wife Angie), Derk, and Michael Howard; 7 granchildren, Lindsey Gregory, Kelly and Alecia Howard, Aaron Tilley, Gara Harp, Gage Palmer, and Ethan Palmer; and 1 great grandchild, J.T. Tilley. She is also survived by: 2 brothers, Haskel and Bobby Brake; and 1 sisters, Margie New; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Porter and Elsie, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Larry Morris; 4 brothers, Elva, Harold, Howard, and Porter "Junior" Brake; and 3 sisters, Vela Upchurch, Alice Abbott, and Dorothy Neal.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Monday, April 19th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Tuesday, April 20th at 1 pm
Interment: Bethesda Cemetery
