Ruth Baker was born June 26, 1936 and departed this life Friday, February 12, 2021 reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Gertie (Humble) Parmley.

She is survived by: her husband, Johnny Baker; one son, John Ray Baker, Jr.; one grandchildren, Carley Baker. She is also survived by:  two brothers, Andrew Parmley and Walter Parmley; and four sisters, Zella Parmley, Esther Davis, Geneiveve Koger and Vannie Hatfield; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: four brothers, Narvel, Lilbern, Marion Ingram and Elvis Parmley; and one sister, Pelba Bell.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 between 1pm - 2pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 2pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Methodist Church Cemetery.
