Obituary
Russell Howard Upchurch was born June 16, 1922 and departed this life Friday, April 12, 2013 reaching the age of 90. He was the son of the late William and Verlie (Guffey) Upchurch.
He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Perdue and to this union 3 children were born.
He is survived by: 2 sons, Russell David and James William Upchurch both of Louisville, KY; and 1 daughter, Sondra Young of Shepherdsville, KY; 7 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 sisters Opal Hunter and Irene Guffey; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 15, 2013 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Keltner and Bro. Ted Burchett officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
