Rufus E. Wells, Jr. was born April 2, 1920 and departed this life Saturday, October 25, 2008 reaching the age of 88 years. He was the son of the late Rufus E. and Elizabeth Wells.

He married Frances Whitaker and to this union three children were born.

He is survived by: his wife- Frances Wells of Monticello, KY, 1 son- Bro. Mike Wells of Monticello, KY, 1 daughter- Mary Beth Wright of Bristol, VA, 6 grandchildren- Brian Wright, Jennifer Smith, Melissa Malchaski, Steven Wright, Robert Wells, and Stephanie Robinson, and 8 great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 1 son- Ralph Wells, 1 grandchild- Jonathan Wells, and several brothers and sisters.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
