Ruby Correll was born May 8, 1934, and departed this life Tuesday, June 25, 2024, reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of the late Marion and Opal (Troxell) Sexton.

She is survived by: her husband of 70 years, Bruce Correll; one son, Danny Correll (Rebecca); one daughter, Kathy Parmley; three grandchildren, Ivan Wilson Parmley (Haley), Anastasia Ruth Parmley, and Kalyssa Patrice Parmley; three great grandchildren, Dalton Parmley, Henry Parmley, and Judson Parmley; and her cat and constant companion, Ginger; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one great grandchild, Lennox Jay Parmley; her brothers, Fred, Harley, Marion, Jr., Ted, and Harold Sexton; and two sisters, Pauline Knox and Ruth Marie Sexton.

Ruby was a homemaker and longtime Sunday School teacher at Fall Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, Bible study and bird watching.  Anyone lucky enough to experience her culinary skills were never disappointed.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 30, 2024, between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
