Obituary
Roy Gene Poore was born April 23, 1960 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life Sunday, May 11th, 2003, reaching the age of 43 years. He was the son of the late Ray Poore and Mary Stringer Poore.
He was united in marriage to Janet Hines Poore on September 8, 1988 and to this union one child was born.
He is survived by his wife Janet and one son-Logan Poore of Somerset, KY. He is survived by two brothers-Danny Paul Poore of West Liberty, KY and Jerry Dale Poore of Lexington, KY, along with several nieces, nephews,relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers-Earl Ray, Billy Joe and Mikie Poore.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5 PM on Wednesday, May 14th, 2003 in the chapel
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Thursday, May 15th at 1 PM in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Interment: Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
