Roxie Gossage was born November 12, 1914 and departed this life Friday, November 7, 2008 reaching the age of 93 years. She was the daughter of the late Richard Burnett Walker and Loretta Jane New Walker.

She is survived by: 5 sons- Richard, Paul Ray, Obie, Donald, and Ronald Gossage all of Monticello, KY, and Jimmie Gossage of Indianapolis, IN, 3 daughters- Vanda Guffey of Monticello, KY, Mary Heinzel of Albany, KY, and Verdina Bilbrey of Livingston, TN, 22 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by: 1 sister- Opal Floyd of Somerset, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband- Frilba Gossage, 6 brothers- Hobert, Dewey, Luchen, Ernie, Hubert, and Obie Walker, and 4 sisters- Bertha Gibson, Ada Alton, Lizzie Dunnagan, and Flonnie Simpson.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Sunday, November 9th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Monday, November 10th at 11 am
Interment: Elk Spring Cemetery
