Rosie Carol Bolen Allen was born February 11, 1968, and departed this life Friday, October 4, 2024, reaching the age of 56 years. Rosie was born at home in the Meadowcreek area of Wayne County. She was the daughter of the late Tom and Vangie (Perkins) Bolen.

She is survived by: three children, Haylie Allen (Alex Sanchez), Derek Allen (Lyndsay Stanhope), and Jordan Parker (Ryan); eight grandchildren, Silvia Machic, Pedro Machic, Alivia Perez, Thomas Allen, Kayden Allen Arillea Allen, Carlee Parker, and Tilly Parker; and one great grandchild, Emery Machic; one sister, Lois Huff Burchett; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Tom and Vangie Bolen, she was preceded in death by: her paternal grandparents, Jessie and Barbara Ann Bolen; her maternal grandparents, Nim and Ethel Perkins; eleven brothers, Robert, Carmel, Carl, Dewey, Oscar, Paul, Tate, Bobby, Eddie, Sam, and Ralph; two sisters, Mattie Bolen Rednour, and Maybelle Bolen.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 10, 2024, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:  Rosie Allen Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
