Ronnie Kay Kennedy, son of Otto Willis and Mossie Aderine Dishman Kennedy was born on May 31, 1953 and passed from this life on February 9, 2021 at the Wayne County Hospital.

He is survived by his wife; Margie Carol Pyles Kennedy, two sons; Bobby (Elizabeth) Kennedy and Bro. Donald (Debbie) Kennedy, one daughter-in-law; Courtney West Kennedy, and one sister, Kathy Easterly. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; Anthony (Mattea) Kennedy, Andrew Kennedy, Austin (Jeanelle) Kennedy, John Hicks, Jordanna Kennedy, Judson Hicks, Caedmon Hicks, Tyler (Cassie) Kennedy, Brittany (Jacob) Gilbreath, Cody Kennedy, Cali Kennedy, Tucker Kennedy, and Abby Kennedy along with one great grandchild; Everleigh Kennedy.

He was proceeded in death by his parents; Otto and Mossie Kennedy, one son; Brian Dale Kennedy, and four brothers; Mintford, Kenneth, Leland, and Otto Kennedy.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 13, 2021 between 10 am – 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to:  Ronnie Kennedy Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
