Roger Frederick Kreke was born February 25, 1940 and departed this life December 19, 2021 reaching the age of 81 years. He was the son of the late Joseph Frederick and Roxie Fay (Mullins) Kreke.

He is survived by: his wife, Gladys Mae (Worley) Kreke; two daughters, Maria Lynn Bain (Joseph) and Janet Fay Wilson (Steven); and five grandchildren, Garett Charles Bain, Mason Joseph Bain, Mya Alyesse Bain, Jerad Steven Wilson, and Jayna Renae Wilson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one grandchild, Marissa Lee Wilson; and his siblings, Joseph Frederick Kreke and Barbara E. Kreke.

Roger was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran; he was a member of the American Legion, Amvets, Elks Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Loyal Order of Moose.

He enjoyed boating, camping and fishing as well as driving, traveling and playing cards. He loved socializing with family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 23, 2021 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael C. Garrett officiating. Burial will be in the Spann Hill Church Cemetery.  Military honors will be provided by our local DAV Chapter 105.
