Roger Norman Hicks was born June 19, 1943, and departed this life Sunday, November 23, 2025, reaching the age of 82 years. He was the son of the late Robert and Ina Mae (Cox) Hicks.

He is survived by: three sons, Daniel  Hicks (Veronika), David Dillard, and Jeremiah Hicks; one daughter, Mary Potter (Shane); one brother, Robert Hicks; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was a pilot, pastor, farmer, and a salesman. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University.

He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, who served as a sonarman on nuclear submarines.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2025, between 1 – 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
