Roger Burks, age 64, formerly of Monticello, KY, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY. He was born September 24, 1951 in Slat, Kentucky. Roger is preceded in death by his parents Robert Glenn and Maudie Steele Burks and his sister, Betty Burks.

He is survived by his step son, Ritchie Rednour, II and his granddaughter, Remington Trent Rednour; along with several family and friends who mourn his passing.

Roger was a long time employee of the Monticello Country Club and prior to retirement was a supervisor at Cagles Corporation. Roger was a humble, loving man, who always cared more about others than of himself. The absence of his laughter, friendship, and stories will be felt by all that loved him including his adopted family at Nim Henson Geriatric Center and Rednour & Associates.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2016 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
