Obituary
Roe Bertie Kelsay was born April 24, 1924 and departed this life Sunday, September 18, 2011 reaching the age of 87. He was the son of the late Fount Roe and Lucille (Crawford) Kelsay.
He was united in marriage to Carrie Jean Bertram and to this union 2 children were born.
He is survived by: his wife, Carrie Kelsay of Monticello, KY; 1 son, James (Sherry) Kelsay of Monticello, KY; 1 daughter, Roberta Downy of Bremen, GA; and 5 grandchildren, Thomas (Alisha), Jacob, Jack, Madisson, and Natalie; and 1 great grandchild, Ali. He is also survived by: 1 sister, Laura Dunagan of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Fount and Lucille Kelsay, he was preceded in death by: 1 sister, Rose Huffaker.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 3 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Harvey Atkinson and Bro. Keith McKim officiating. Burial will be in Elk Spring Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to:
