Rocky East was born December 21, 1962, and departed this life Thursday, October 10, 2024, reaching the age of 61 years. He was the son of Patricia (Burkhart) Smith and the late Donald East.

In addition to his mother, Patricia Smith, he is survived by: four brothers, Donnie (Charlotte) East, Tony (Melissa) East, Johnny (Kim) East, and Chris (Amy) East; and four sisters, Patsy Blevins, Kathy Alley, Patty Hicks, and Susan Upchurch; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his father, Donald East, he was preceded in death by one brother, David Dwane East.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 14, 2024, between 11 am – 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
