Robert James Pendleton, 62, of Monticello, KY went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov 11, 2014. He was born April 21, 1952 the son of the late Robert J. Pendleton and the late Maud Tucker Pendleton Walker. He was raised by Maud and his step-father the late Obie Walker.
He is survived by sisters Brenda Dolen (the late Merrell Dolen) of Monticello, Vickie Denney (Jimmy) of DeLand, FL, Sheila Conley (Kenny) of Monticello and Jennifer Arms (Willie) of Albany, KY.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Bell Pendleton. He is also survived by his daughter, Ashley Pendleton of Atlanta and his daughter Allison Pendleton Piercy (John Matthew) of Bowling Green.
He honorably served his country in the US Army in Germany and Vietnam as an army recon specialist.
Following the service, he attended and graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in marketing. He worked for NCR Corporation in Indiana and Tennessee. He also worked for Moore Business Forms in Birmingham, AL.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13, 2014 after 5 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by DAV Chapter 105.
