Robert (Bob) L. Peercy was born March 4, 1937 and parted this life on November 25, 2020 at the age of 83. He was the son of Patterson and Nina (Guffey) Peercy and was the second of eight children.
Bob and his wife, Oleta, were married June 21, 1958. She passed July, 10, 2010. He is survived by his children, Ricky Peercy, Peggy Sue Dufek, Cheryl (Jay) Young, Terri (Charlie) Kilgore. His grandchildren, Heather Dufek, Robert Young, Holly (Charles) Murray, Andrew Dufek, Jessica (Joe) Canter, Kristen Young, Caitlin (Michael) Specht. Great grandchildren, Madelyn, Connor, Ethan, Evan, Elodie, Walter, Ada, Cambria and Hannah. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were certainly the sparkle in his eye. He is also survived by his siblings, Dan, Hope, John and Ruth. Those passed are Bill, Joy and Patsy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Bob served in the United States Army and retired from Construction (Union Member Local 103).
He was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: The American Heart Association or Alzheimer's Association.
PRIVATE graveside services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Gap Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some restrictions for service attendance. As the number of attendees is limited to 25 people only, a list will be provided to the funeral home by the family. You are asked to please wear a mask or facial covering and observe the social distancing guidelines. No communal food or drinks are allowed at this time.
