Robert Earl Mansfield was born February 4, 1939, and departed this life Wednesday, February 4, 2026 (on his birthday), reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late Earl and Ina (Turner) Mansfield.

He married Mary Agnes Morris, and to this union six children were born.

He is survived by: four sons, Gene (Holly), Dale (Brenda), Daniel, and David Mansfield; two daughters, Joyce Walston and Connie Russell; one sister, Brenda Peavie; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Earl and Ina Mansfield, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Mary Agnes; one brother, Perry Mansfield; one sister, Earlene Mansfield; and son-in-law, Mark Walston.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 7, 2026, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Baptist Church Cemetery.
