Robert Ray Johnson was born August 9, 1941, and departed this life August 15, 2024, reaching the age of 83 years. He was the son of the late Tom and Dova (Denney) Johnson.

He is survived by: one daughter, Renata Farmer (Adam); two sons, Steve McGinnis and Shane McGinnis (Rachael); five grandchildren, Jessica, Liam, Gabriel, Elijah, and Abel; and two great grandchildren, Iliana and Orion; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Norma Jean Johnson; one son, David McGinnis; and infant twin sisters.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 19, 2024, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
