Robert "Bob" Howard Martin was born March 16, 1936 and departed this life Monday, March 30, 2009 reaching the age of 73 years. He was the son of the late Robert Grady Martin and Elva Effie Denny Martin.

He is survived by: 1 daughter, Tammy Martin (Troy New) of Bronston, KY; 1 son, Robert Howard (Marcie) Martin, Jr. of Centerpoint, IN; 9 grandchildren, Vanessa (Matthew) Burton, Matt Sutherland, Stephanie Gail Martin, Tamara Abner, Samantha Martin, Brandon Martin, David Matthew Martin, Robert Howard Martin, III, and Amanda Kay (Eric) Sanders; and 9 great grandchildren, Parker Bailey Martin, Devon Rylee Sanders, Braxton Burton, Bryton Burton, Audrey Martin, Tyler Eldridge, Mikie McBride, Christine Abner, and Haley Abner. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Dale (Jamie) Martin of Bowling Green, KY and Harold (Ruth) Martin of Monticello, KY; and 3 sisters, Wilma Kelsey and Wanda Martin both of Lexington, KY and Jean Edwards of Monticello, KY; a previous wife, Virginia Pauline Hill Martin of Somerset, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Elva Martin, he was preceded in death by: 1 son, Michael Riley Martin; 1 brother, James Oliver Martin; and 1 sister, Edith Mae Martin.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
