Robert Denny was born June 10, 1950 and departed this life Friday evening, September 5, 2014 reaching the age of 64 years. He was the son of the late Willie and Grace (Catron) Denney.

He is survived by: his wife, Antha Denney; 3 sons, Robert Glenn Denny, Jr., Lloyd Jeffers, and Franklin Barber; 4 daughters, Penny Helton, Debbie Hall, Lisa Tucker, and Jane Piercy; 4 brothers, James, David, Kenny, and Tim Denney; 3 sisters, Alice Denney, Diane Hill, and Jean Kempton; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie & Grace Denny; 1 brothers, Russell Denny; and 1 sister, Ina Sue Denney.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 7, 2014 from 5-9pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 11am in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home with Bro. Lonzo Tucker, Jr. and Bro. Mike Smedley officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
