Robert Dennis was born November 9, 1925 and departed this life Saturday, July 14, 2018 reaching the age of 92 years. He was the son of the late General and Gertie (Wallace) Dennis.

He married Mary Gladys Crabtree Dennis and to this union 11 children were born.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: 3 Sons, Danny Dennis of Monticello, Delmar Dennis of Kettering, Ohio, and Timothy Dennis of Beverly, West Virginia; 5 Daughters, Kathryn Coffey, Billie Crouch, and Carolyn Allen of Monticello, Lois Moore and Brenda Russell of Russell Springs; 1 brother-George Dennis; 1 sister- Louise Foster; 26 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 3 sons-Robert Jr., Jimmie, and Jessie Dennis; 3 Brothers, General, Howard, and Jr. Dennis; 3 Sisters, Hiley Sweet, Carrie Turner, and Flonzie Dennis.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July17, 2018 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
