Robert Brown was born August 20, 1955 and departed this life Friday, May 2, 2015 reaching the age of 59 years. He was the son of the late Miriam and Ona Mae (Dishman) Brown.

He is survived by: one daughter, Sheila Lynn Rains; one son, Josh Evans; two grandchildren, Austin and Misty Rains; and one great grandchild, Kaiden Rains. He is also survived by: one brother, Danny K. Brown; and three sisters, Barbara Faye Hicks, Anna Mae Cooper, and Linda Daniels; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 7, 2015 after 11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 2 pm at Alexander Cemetery. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to: Robert Brown Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home
