Ricky Dewayne Fairchild was born September 30, 1958 and departed this life Thursday, January 30, 2014 reaching the age of 55. He was the son of Doris (Ballenger) and the late Joe Bruce Fairchild.

In addition to his mother, Doris Fairchild, he is survived by: two children, Josh and Ashley Fairchild; two grandchildren, Brayden Fairchild and Kaylee Anne Sullivan; and two brothers, Joe (Vickie) Fairchild and Bobby (Anita) Brake; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Joe Bruce Fairchild.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 3, 2014 from 5 – 9 pm in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 1 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
