Richard Ramsey, Jr. was born December 24, 1949, and departed this life Monday, December 29, 2025, reaching the age of 76 years. He was the son of (the late) Richard Ramsey and Gladys (Huffaker) Ramsey Boydston.

He is survived by two sons, Richard and Nathan Ramsey; two daughters, Virginia Carrender and Barbara Hoskins; one brother, Van Ramsey; a special granddaughter, Baylie Ramsey; and numerous other grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Jean (Slagle) Ramsey; one daughter, Taunya Stapleton; and one brother, James Ramsey.

Richard was a Veteran, having retired from the military. He first served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and later served in the Kentucky National Guard during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, relative, and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no public service.
