Richard Homa was born November 28, 1955 in Dover Delaware Airforce Base Hospital to the late Cyril M. Homa and Delta (Hancock) Homa Kahn. He was the grandson of the late Arvil B. and Audie (Koger) Hancock of Windy, KY and the late Mr. & Mrs. John Homa of Ohio.

On June 26, 2012 he was united in marriage to Gerri Fisher-Homa; who survives him. Also, 1 son, Richard Ezra Major; 3 daughters, Christina Homa, Samantha Homa, and Courtney Ann Fisher; 2 step-daughters, Tabitha Fisher and Kimberly Rigby; 2 grandchildren; 1 brother, Ronald Homa; in-laws, Aleda and Steve Dobus; and a special sister-in-law, Cheryl Homa.

He is also survived by: 2 special aunts, Jimmie Hancock and Dorothy Sexton; cousins, Lisa Morrow, Vickie Sexton, Allen Sexton, Derek Morrow, Terra Albertson, and Caitlyn Mounce; Alberta and Ronnie and several cousins in Ohio.

Rick had plenty of friends and was well known locally and elsewhere for his work as a painter. Rick was a Christian, being saved April of this year.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 12 pm – 4 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at 4 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Upchurch officiating. Burial will be in the Beach Bottom Cemetery in Clinton County.
