Rhonda Gail Collins Patton was born October 18th, 1957 and departed this life Sunday August 10th, 2025, reaching the age of 67 years old. She was the daughter of the late Charles Collins and Rosa Lee Collins. Rhonda was loved by her husband Larry Patton of 50 years and her children Danielle (Dustin) Rains and Lisa (Charlie) Bailey. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Patton whom she loved and missed dearly. She was the beloved Mimi of Gyson (Bailey) Rains, Raelynn Rains and Ember Bailey. She is also survived by her cousin Terri Thomas who was more like a sister.

Rhonda accepted the Lord as her savior and was a devoted member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Along with being a Mimi, Rhonda enjoyed attending her grandchildren's ballgames, taking care of her dog Rosie and attending church. She worked with the Wayne County School System for 21.5 years and became acquainted with hundreds of students over the years. The ones she didn't know by name she knew by lunch number.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and everyone who knew her. To know her was to love her.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
