Rex West was born April 21, 1952 and departed this life Wednesday, April 24, 2019 reaching the age of 67 years. He was the son of the late Cecil and Elmer (McDaniel) West.

He married Cathy Baker and to this union one child was born.

He is survived by: his wife, Cathy West; one son, Cody West (Keysha); and two grandchildren, Dale West and Sierra West; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: six brothers, Mack Jr., Walter, William, Harry, Henry and Richard Lee West; and eight sisters, Helen Maxine West, Helen Pauline Bell, Ruby Elizabeth Denney, Maudie Christian, Anna Mae Abbott, Etta Frye, Margaret Kidd and Carrie Bates.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2 pm at World Wide Ministries Church of God.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Rex West Memorial Fund, c/o Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.
