Rebecca Gail Sowell was born October 13th, 1982 in Jackson, Tennessee and departed this life Friday, October 25th, 2002 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. She was the daughter of Elvin Roy Sowell and Carla Gene Holder.

She is survived by her daughter-Casey Sowell, along with one brother-Elvin Roy Sowell, two half-brothers-Kevin and Alan Sowell, one half-sister-Tammy Morgan, her maternal grandmother-Genell Holder, grandfather-Billy Joe Prince, Sr., paternal grandmother-Redith Sowell, one uncle-Billy Joe Prince, Jr., five maternal aunts-Carlissa Beasley, Volena Troxell, Ruth Davis, Abbie Holder, Jody Hurt and two paternal aunts-Velva Morgan and Myrna Brown. She is also survived by one very special niece-Evelyn Cheyanne Sowell.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She was a loving mother, sister, granddaughter and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5 PM on Sunday, October 27th in the chapel of the Marvin Hicks Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Service: The funeral service will be Monday, October 28th, 2002 at 10 AM in the chapel of the Marvin Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Harlan Ogle and Bro. Dewey Burks officiating.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Grant Roberts Cemetery.
