Rebecca Louise (Lester) Maxfield was born November 29, 1963 in Monticello, KY. She departed this life Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Wayne County Hospital; reaching the age of 56 years. She was the only daughter of Martin Edgar and Janet Ruth (Shepherd) Lester.

She married Ronald Alton Maxfield on December 31, 1982 at the Jesus Name Apostolic Church in Monticello, KY.  In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her adopted siblings through her husband, Dot & Dan Chris, Frances & Ben Garland, Shirley & Tom Jones, Sam & Linda Maxfield, Charley & Vickie Maxfield, Don Maxfield, and Bill Maxfield; special aunt, Rachel Brown of New Castle, IN; along with many nieces and nephews.  Rebecca loved her pets and called them her children, Buffy Lou Maxfield and Baby Face Maxfield.

Rebecca received the Holy Ghost in March of 1970 and was baptized in Cooper Creek on September 24, 1972 by Bro. Paul Perkins.  She was a member of and faithfully attended the Jesus Name Apostolic Church.

She loved music and played the accordion; she also enjoyed listening to Southern Gospel Music, especially the McKamy's. She was a Red Cross Volunteer.  Rebecca was a 1981 graduate of Wayne County and earned her Bachelor of Business degree from Colorado Technical University.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home and Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Jesus Name Apostolic Church between 8 am – 10 am.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 10 am at the Jesus Name Apostolic Church. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
