Obituary
Raymond "Ramie" Hicks was born September 30, 1929 and departed this life Wednesday, May 06, 2009 reaching the age of 79 years. He was the son of the late James and Daisy (Stinson) Hicks.
He was united in marriage to Hattie Pyles and to this union 4 children were born.
He is survived by: his wife, Hattie Hicks of Monticello, KY, 1 son, Paul Hicks of Monticello, KY, 3 daughters, Kathy Cooper and Brenda Hicks both of Alpha, KY and Jessie Hancock of Monticello, KY, 15 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by: 3 brothers, Mintford "Beardy", Billy, and Newell "Dudie" Hicks all of Monticello, KY, and 2 sisters, Nannie Pyles and Neccie Dishman both of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: 1 brother, Sherman Hicks, and 4 sisters, Mary Dishman, Grace Brown, Sina Ann Hicks, and Bertha Hancock.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation: Friday, May 9th after 5 pm
Funeral Service: Saturday, May 10th at 11 am
Interment: Hicks Cemetery
