Raymond Carl Cooper was born October 28, 1949 and departed this life Monday, May 23, 2022 reaching the age of 72 years. He was the son of the late Albert Benton and Margaret Marie (Goad) Cooper.

He is survived by: his wife, Shirley Cooper; one son, Aaron Scott Cooper (Crystal); one daughter, Brenda Carlene Hoover (Mitchel); four grandchildren, Matthew Hoover (Ashley), Brittany Lawrence (Benji), Christa Knight (Jeremiah) and Garrett Cooper; and five great grandchildren, Benson, Jackson, Emma, Jack and Jenson; one sister, Hazel; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Ray Cooper and Clyde Cooper; and two sisters, Rilley and Roxie.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2022 between 10 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Dishman Cemetery.
