Polly Jean Kempton was born September 16, 1940, and departed this life Thursday, January 2, 2025, reaching the age of 84 years. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Grace (Catron) Denney.

She married Donald Kempton and to this union four children were born.

She is survived by: one daughter, Donna Morris; three sons, Ricky (Melissa), Eddie (Brenda), and Steve Kempton; seven grandchildren, Chris Bell, Troy McGuire, Misty McGuire, Matthew Kempton, Kassy Kempton, Joe Kempton and Hannah Kempton; 17 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by:  two brothers, Tim and Kenny Denney; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Willie and Grace Denney, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Kempton; one grandson, Scottie Abbott; one great-great granddaughter, Remi Price; siblings, Russell, David "Junior", Robert, James Edgar Denney, Alice Meredith, Georgia Diane Hill, and Ina Sue Denney.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 6, 2025, between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.
