Obituary
Polly Hazel Smith Bell was born November 8th, 1920 in Wayne County, Kentucky and departed this life Wednesday, October 9th, 2002, reaching the age of 81 years. She was the daughter of John Calvin Smith and Litha Blevins Smith.
She was united in marriage to George W. Bell, and to this union two children were born.
She is survived by one son Roger Bell of Somerset, KY and one daughter-Virginia Ayers of Manchester, Missouri. She is survived by four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by three brothers-Harold and Earl Smith of Monticello, KY and Oren Smith of Springfield, Illinois and two sisters-Thelma Chaney and Alma Gillespie, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, along with several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation: The family will receive friends after 5 PM on Thursday, Oct. 10th, 2002 in the chapel of the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: The graveside service will be Friday, October 11th, 2002 at 10 AM at the Elk Spring Cemetery.
Interment: Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
