Phyllis Jo (Hill) Burke, 67, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.

She was born on September 15, 1946 in Coopersville, Kentucky to Alfred Hill and Ora Marie (Bell) Edwards. She married Wilford Lester Burke who lovingly survives in Franklin. Other survivors include one daughter, Leslie Ann Burke; grandchildren, Natalie Clements, Christopher Clements, Hilary Zeigler, Morgan Campbell and Kylie Campbell and two sisters, Joan Vaughn of Stearns, Kentucky and Linda Branscum of Franklin. She was preceded in passing by her parents and brother, Jim Hill.

Phyllis was employed by Sambo's in Franklin and later at the House of Franklin for many years.

She enjoyed reading. She also truly enjoyed her shopping trips each week with her sister, Linda. Phyllis so enjoyed and loved spending time with her husband, daughter and grandchildren whom were all the love of her life.

Friends may call on Monday, January 6th, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may also call on Tuesday, January 7th, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home, 647 N. Main Street, Monticello, Kentucky 42633. A service will be conducted on Wednesday, January 8th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home in Monticello. Burial will be at John Barr's Cemetery in Coopersville, Kentucky.
