Phillip Crabtree was born April 3, 1943 and departed this life Thursday, December 05, 2013 reaching the age of 70. He was the son of the late James Odie and Sally (Sumpter) Crabtree.

He was united in marriage to Lyla Martin and to this union 11 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Lyla Crabtree; 7 sons, Richie, Chad, Matthew, Brock, Adam, Shane, and Mark Crabtree; 3 daughters, Terina Dodd, Tammy Curtis, and Sheila Yates; and 14 grandchildren. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Ronnie and Ralph Crabtree; 3 sisters, Joyce Ramsey Hicks, Betty Sue Terry, and Edwina Curtis; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, James Odie and Sally Crabtree, he was preceded in death by: one son, David Crabtree; two brothers, John Edwin and Randall Lewis Crabtree; and four sisters, Melvina Middleton, Juanita Anderson, Vena Davis, and Ina Jean Kidd.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 from 9-11 am in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11 am with Bro. Tracy Humble officiating. Burial will follow in the Dodson Cemetery.
