Obituary

Phillip Lyle Bertram was born March 27, 1948 and departed this life Thursday, July 7, 2022 reaching the age of 74 years. He was the son of the late Obie and Maude Bertram.

He is survived by his brother, Reed Bertram; two nephews, David Bertram and Gary (Christina) Cross; and two nieces, Alisa Bertram Denney and Patricia (Kevin) Cross Wheeler; four great nieces and nephews, Kellie Ann Wheeler, Elliott Cross, Rob Wheeler and Morgan Cross; and one great-great nephew Kash Tumbleson; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Obie and Maud Bertram, he was preceded in death by: an infant brother, William Paul Bertram, brother and his wife, Wallace "Cigar" & Marie Bertram; and sister and her husband, Anne Lee Bertram & Reual "Shorty" Cross.

Phillip served his country and was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 11, 2022 between 10 am – 12 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Monday, July 11, 2022 at 12 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
