Phil Tucker was born July 6, 1946 and departed this life Tuesday, February 28, 2012 reaching the age of 65. He was the son of the late Marcus and Renda (Correll) Tucker.

He was united in marriage on June 25, 1966 to to Lois Ann Barnette and to this union 2 children were born.

He is survived by: his wife, Lois Tucker of Monticello, KY; 1 son, Vincent Lane (Janae) Tucker of Monticello, KY; 1 daughter, Violet (Junior) Morrow of Monticello, KY; 6 grandchildren, Leticia Ann, Dylan Lane, and Wayne Tucker, Phillip Ray and Jordan Piercy, and Cheyenne Marie Morrow. He is also survived by: 2 brothers, Fred Tucker of Fisher, IN, and Frank Tucker of Beech Grove, In; and 2 sisters, Betty Casada and Lula Mae West both of Monticello, KY; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Marcus and Renda, he was preceded in death by: by 1 brother, Edward Lee Tucker; and 3 sisters, Mildred Lovell, Maude Walker, and Hettie Tucker.

In 1966, at age 19, he accepted the Lord as his Savior. He was a member of Meadow Creek Baptist Church where he loved to worship his Lord and Savior, as long as his health would permit him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, 2012 from 5:30 – 9 pm and Sunday, March 4 from 9am – 2pm at Meadow Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 2 pm at the Meadow Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Howard Slagle officiating. Burial will be the family residence in the Frazier community.
