Obituary

Pelba Wilma Parmley Bell was born June 16, 1946 and departed this life Wednesday, July 22, 2020 reaching the age of 74 years. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Gertie (Humble) Parmley.

She married Walter Bell and to this union two daughters were born.

She is survived by: her husband, Walter Bell; daughters, Delissa (Brent) Birchell and Kimberly (Kenny) Ramsey; four grandchildren, Garion Birchell, Victoria Birchell, Kezia Ramsey and Lydia Ramsey. She is also survived by:  two brothers, Andrew Parmley and Walter Parmley; and five sisters, Zella Parmley, Ruth Baker, Esther Davis, Geneiveve Koger, and Vannie Hatfield; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Roscoe and Gertie Parmley, she was preceded in death by: four brothers, Narvel Parmley, Lilbern Parmley, Marion Ingram Parmley and Elvis Parmley.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 25, 2020 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Parnell Methodist Cemetery.

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, and upon recommendations from the Governor's Office for Funeral Homes, there will be some limitations and restrictions for service attendance. Please feel free to sign the online guestbook or send a private condolence message through our website.
