Peggy Sue Gregory was born December 25, 1938 and departed this life Sunday, September 11, 2022 reaching the age of 83 years. She was the daughter of the late Joe Oliver and Eleanor (Smith) Alexander.

She married Joe Dean Gregory on June 11, 1955 and to this union four children were born.

She is survived by: her sons, Barry Gordon Gregory and Joey Wayne Gregory; two daughters, Julie (Bruce) Neal and Debbie (Kevin) Koontz; seven grandchildren, Amanda Sharpe, Adam Neal, Kara Foster, Byron Koontz, Beth Smith, Danna Cravens, and Nancy Gregory; 14 great grandchildren, Katie Chaplin, Gracie Chaplin, Cade Sharpe, Silas Neal, Brayden Koontz, Harper Koontz, Hayden Slagle, Delaney Lester, Jonathan Foster, Bailey Jones, Colton Gregory, Kealan Foster, Alivia Smith, and Nathan Smith; and one great-great grandchild, Alma Kate Dick. She is also survived by: one brother, Bennie Alexander; and one sister, Jerry Abbott; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Joe and Eleanor Alexander, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Joe Dean Gregory; one granddaughter, Rachel Jones; two great grandchildren, Trevor Neal and Dalton Slagle; and one sister, Patty Golden.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 15, 2022 between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Stop Cemetery.
