PEARLIE STEPHENS was born May 26, 1915 and departed this life January 23, 2006 reaching the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of (the late) Andrew Fulton and _______________.

She was united in marriage to John Stephens and to this union eleven children were born.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Stephens of Monticello, KY and George Stephens of Alpha, KY; seven daughters, Ora Jane McGinnis of Alpha, KY; Joyce Ann Lowe of Alpha, KY, Elgie Mae Carter of Alpha, KY, Lucy Stinson of Bethesday, KY, Myrtie Stephens of Alpha, KY, Rita Hancock of Susie, KY, and Avo Hicks of Alpha, KY; two step daughters, Eva Gros and Thelma Lee Pufrey; twenty-eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Stephens; one son, Billy Stephens; one daughter, Sarah Bell Atkins; seven brothers, Willis, George, Barlow, Bill Tom, John, George, and Porter Fulton; and two sisters, Polly Morgan and Martha Fulton.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, relative and friend who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.


Visitation: Thursday, January 26th after 5 pm and Friday, January 27th after 8 am
Funeral Service: Friday, January 27th at 2 pm
Interment: Gap Creek Cemetery
