Pauline Crabtree Bridgeman departed this life on Saturday, April 14, 2012 reaching the age of 77 years.

She was the daughter of the late Prentice and Mamie (Stringer) Crabtree. Pauline was united in marriage to Gilbert "Gene" Bridgeman and their marriage lasted 60 ½ years. To this union 2 children were born, Barbara & husband, Oscar Dykes of Somerset, KY and the late Gilbert "Gib" Bridgeman of New Castle, Indiana who preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa Canada of Somerset, KY, Darrell & Melaney Canada, and Mark & Linda Canada of Berea, KY, Misty & Sam Johnson of Nicholasville, KY, Chrystal & Kevin Speaks of Somerset, KY, Michael Bridgeman of Monticello, KY, Joshua & Aleshia White of New Castle, IN, and Wendy Bridgeman of Clay City, KY; great grandchildren, Aaron Vaught, Dustin Meece, Alex and Austin Helton, Jacob Canada, Connor and Colyer Speaks, Jessalyn and Madelyn Johnson, Chelsea, Gage, and Makayla Bridgeman, Jayla, Katelyn and Kasen White, and Nevaeh Bridgeman; and 1 great-great grandchild, Tanner Vaught.

Pauline is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Ray & Alice Crabtree of Monticello, Carlie & Judy Crabtree of Monticello, KY, Sue Dishman of Dayton, OH, Shirley & Claude Hurt of Monticello, KY; 3 sister-in-laws, Maxine Peercy, Helen Crabtree, and Emily Crabtree; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends who will mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, Prentice and Mamie Crabtree, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Bridgeman; and 2 brothers, Howard and Haskell Crabtree.

Pauline was a wonderful person who will be remembered for her hard work and her love for cooking. She always went the extra mile for anyone she could. We know our loss is heaven's gain for she had accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age and was ready to meet her Lord.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 5 – 9 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 1 pm at the Marvin S. Hicks Funeral Home with Bro. Darrell Ragan and Bro. Richard Morrow officiating. Burial will be in Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
