Paula "Pearl" Sue Dishman was born September 15, 1944, and departed this life Friday, January 2, 2026, reaching the age of 81 years. She was the daughter of the late Willie "Bill" and Nannie (Hicks) Pyles.

She married Joe Fount Dishman and two children were born to this union.

She is survived by: one son, Joe Richard Dishman; one daughter, Debbie Crowley; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.  She is also survived by:  four brothers, Dee Pyles (Leta), Clyde Pyles (Darlene), Roger Pyles (Jan), and Gary Pyles (Theresa); and four sisters, Lisa McGinnis (Paul), Jewell McGinnis (Barry), Judy Stinson (Dennis), and Mary McGinnis (Arnold); along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Joe Fount Dishman; two brothers, Hershel Clay Pyles and Kenneth Pyles; and three sisters, Brenda Carter, Ruby Rednour, and Linda May Pyles.

She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 5, 2026, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Morgan Cemetery.
