Paul Ray Poore was born October 12, 1946 and departed this life April 21, 2018 reaching the age of 71 years. He was the son of the late Dillard and Callie (Franklin) Poore.

He is survived by: two daughters, Kathy Bertram (Jeremy Bertram) and Tracy Rankin (Greg Rankin); five grandchildren:  Bryanna Dennis, Bradley Dennis, Charles Waid, Cody Decker, and Chelsea Decker; and three siblings: June Barge, Alene (Penny) Ferrell, and Freddy Franklin; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents, Dillard and Callie Poore, he was preceded in death by: six sisters, Etta Mae Parmley, Betty Hicks, Margie Catron, Shirley Harper, Reba Hardwick, Darlene Herb; and two brothers, Carl Poore and James Poore.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 between 11 am – 1 pm in the chapel of the funeral home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 1 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Cabell Grove Cemetery.
