Paul Jenkins was born November 12, 1932 in Monticello, KY. He was the son of the late Parker Jenkins and Ruby Davis Jenkins. On November, 4, 1955, he married Christine Bertram and they shared 46 years of marriage. Christine preceded him in death on February 12, 2002.

Paul and Christine had 2 children, Paula Jenkins Shope and Rocky Stan Jenkins (wife Tammy Weaver Jenkins). They had 7 grandchildren, Erin Conner (husband Vince Conner), Nathan Shope, Carmen Shope, Caleb Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Micah Jenkins, and Jonah Jenkins.

Paul had 5 brothers, Richard Jenkins, Glen Jenkins, Donald Jenkins, Jack Lewis, and Bobby Jenkins and 3 sisters, Maxine Davis Jenkins, Emogene Denney and Joy Sheppard and close friends Ruth Demetral and Charlie Zimmerman.

Paul was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Monticello, Ky for 51 years. He served on the church board, was church treasurer, and coached Bible quiz teams. Paul enjoyed his family and friends and could often be found playing cards, doing a crossword puzzle and played a mean game of checkers. He enjoyed watching UK basketball and following the Wayne County Cardinals.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 25, 2014 after 5pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 2pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elk Spring Cemetery.
